A car show, better known as Auto Expo, is the place where everyone who has a thing for automobiles flock to treat their eyes with the stunning looks. Car lovers visit auto shows to taste the flamboyance in the designs of new car models freshly out from the stables of automobile moguls.
The latest auto expo was the biggest one ever organized in India. At a time when the automobile market is still recovering from the aftershocks of the infamous global economic downturn, motor vehicle manufacturers have been eagerly awaiting the Indian Car Expo. The biggest two reasons being, decline in the sales of automobiles in developed nations and India prominently becoming the star of emerging markets in the global arena.
India stands on the third position in the Asian automobile market. To be able to accommodate the footfall, the entire floor area of the show organized in the Indian Capital has been increased in many folds. Everyone from Honda to Toyota, From Ford to Audi, was proudly presenting their debutant models that are good enough to take your breath away.
Two rivals, Toyota and Honda exhibited their new concept small cars that they both are co-incidentally planning to bring into the market by 2011. Honda surpassed Toyota in launching plans by announcing that they are looking forward to release their concept small car in Thailand as well at the same time.
BMW is a name that triggers fantasy in every car lover’s mind. This year, in the Auto Expo, BMW AG introduced two of their new luxury models the X6 M- the sports utility vehicle and the 760 Li- the 7 Series Sedan.
While BMW was adding two new feathers to its already heavy luxury cars cap, Volkswagen was busy making announcements about its forthcoming range of the Beetle by mid-2010.
Maruti Suzuki gave a glimpse of its super successful model, the SX4 which has already taken the whole world away by storm. The new model ‘Hatchback’, which is available in multiple engine options in Europe, is going to offer a never-before driving experience with more poise, more style and better fuel-efficiency.
The Auto Expo not only catered to car lovers, but also those who profess a love for two wheelers. Latest bikes from the two wheeler biggies TVS and Yamaha were also on the display.
