The introduction of heavy material handling equipments has helped various industries to get the work done without relying on manual labor. It has also helped to reduce the work pressure of the workers. Pallet stacker is one such equipment that has become an integral part of industries which deal with handling heavy materials. It is mostly utilized to lift, carry and transport palletized loads or crates from one place to the other.

A pallet stacker was designed to help the workers to lift, carry and transport heavy materials with ease. The powerful wheels of these equipments make it easy to maneuver even in confined areas to get the work done. The flexibility and maneuverability feature of these equipments has made it an integral part of various industries. Since it is very easy to operate, any trained personnel can operate it without any difficulty. The pallet stacker does not require any manual labor to operate it as it is powered with the help of onboard batteries.
The pallet stacker is mostly used to transport single pallet from the floor to the desired destination. There are various types of these equipments available in the market today. Each of these equipments is similar in design but differ only in its load capacity. When purchasing this equipment, care should be taken to choose the appropriate load capacity equipment. This is because if the weight of the load surpasses the load capacity of the equipment, it can topple over and can cause serious mishap.
The adjustable fork of the pallet stacker makes it important and vital equipment in every material handling industry. Since the forks are very adjustable, it can be set to lift and carry heavy loads including crates and even drums depending on its load capacity. Besides these equipments, a counterbalance fork truck is also used to lift, carry and transport heavy materials from one place to the other. This is done by balancing the load with the weight of the truck. The forks attached to the truck can go up and down but do not pivot.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) require anyone driving a counterbalance fork truck to attend the training classes on how to operate it as well as to complete a training course. As per the requirements of the OSHA, the driver should be properly trained to operate this equipment in the environment in which they will be using this equipment. In the classroom training, the driver is usually provided with the all the information of a counterbalance fork truck including specifications like weight, height and load capacity.
In this session, the driver is also taught how to fuel or charge a counterbalance fork truck and any safety measures they should take when they are operating this equipment. Under supervision, the driver is also taught to drive this truck. This training should take place in a similar surrounding where the driver will be driving in the future. Also, the OSHA requires the drivers of these trucks to undergo periodic refresher training. These sessions helps the driver of a counterbalance fork truck to operate it keeping the safety measures in mind.
